I don't think an adult who knowingly inflicted pain on an innocent animal, can ever be trusted with animals again.    In that sense, yes, they are tarnished for life.
Can they redeem themselves.  Sure, if they are truly remorseful. But I doubt any of these folks are.
They kept doing it, already knowing it caused pain and even death.

I think it would really hard to determine whether or not the horses recover. All this black type in the auction books I think is irrelevant now because of these gassed up sires and their offspring and there should be a lot of breeders held accountable because they knew what was going on and they IMO are as guilty as the chemist trainers. Again it all comes back to greed.

I have said for some time that the most important thing they could add to a yearling catalog page would be the name of the trainer when mare took her mark.  We are seeing counterfeit mares already.

Breeders ….  I seem to remember one farm who employed Josh and Traci for years as their head trainers and then in 2018 and 2019 a guy named Dowse.  A NY based operation as I remember.
