TCO2 Positives

What is with all the recent TCO2 positives coming up the last little while ? Are they using new testing or are trainers getting sloppy? McGuire, Nixon, Paulic, Jamieson, McCabe all got pinched recently.

I don't think it's a matter of being sloppy but they could be pushing the envelope a little. What I would like to know and I suspect is that AGCO has a problem. This has happened before where months have gone by and no TC02 positives and then there's a rash of them. IMO AGCO is a total waste of taxpayers money where they have no money for testing and OOC testing yet they never miss a symposium on drug testing at a warmer climate hotel with all expenses paid.

yeah it's a joke why even have testing when nothing changes. Get a positive--beard. Wait out suspension while doing exact same drugging then back to original paper trainer. Wash, rinse, repeat.

You will always see more TC02 positives in early winter!! Horses drink lees causing mild dehydration which slows the animals processing of certain things. Dehydration WILL NOT cause TC02 to rise it only slows down the lowering of it after bicarbonate administration!!!!

Iceman add to that : appeal as long as you want to , but if you lose it drop appeal all horses raced from date of ruling to final appeal disqualified. Watch how much faster the appeal process goes

i agree with revamping the appeal process how about being allowed to race but purse earnings held in trust if u win appeal u get paid if u loose money gets redistrubted

From my experience as a son of a vet. Certain things get tested at certain times. I believe they test for certain things that are trending.
