illinois has no leadership in racing ,,

no track owner committed to helping racing,,
now the track thats was supposed to be built by next yr  has been cancelled  ,thus startin that nonsense over again,,and ill racing is left with the dumpster trash known as hawthorne

ill racing has been left in the dust

when it comes to

facility,,horses.. trainers and purses..

the only concern is that Eldorado bought Hoosier from Caesars at end of summer.  Connect the dots, fellas ... Eldorado is the management that owns Scioto and, in short order, has allowed it to erode into an embarrassment.  The well run stables at Hoosier could easily resemble the run-down shed rows at Scioto in one season of neglect and the fan-friendly trackside * Sad to say, look at Columbus and you'll see that it can decay faster than you might imagine.

Hoosier is owned by Harras
So is Indiana downs. Harras won’t mess with racing, Hoosier doesn’t get any competition from surrounding states because it’s market based on the local surrounding area. Once littlefoot gets her reduction in tax Indiana is done taking any money from Illinois so Indiana will start taking more taxes from within the state(e.g. Hoosier Indiana downs)
Border casinos in Indiana won’t last long.

Illinois was left with trash along time ago And as far as hawthorne being a dumpster there day card winter meets were great sportsmans was the show back then hawthorne just gave us somethingbto do in the winter time doubleheaders an racing on new years day then goin home to watch the rose bowl!!! Those days were the days!!!!!!!
