Sears is one of the all time great drivers, and that is why he went into the hall of fame at a young age.  The guy has hands and when his horse is done, he doesn't keep beating him up.  Merriman, doubtfully will ever make the hall of fame and he will get his wins at Nfld where it plays into his style of racing.  There is NO comparison whatsoever to Sears and him on a trotter.
