yes , jack was riding for a year there when he first came out of karen tafts house. you are correct but he didnt teach billy much. Billy helped jack get back on his feet.

Good gaited like matts scooter.??He had a very choppy gait and could pick him out a mile away. . I totaly disagree

Ok let me rephrase,. He had a gait that was up and down 100 miles an hr without covering lots of ground, he had a very  easy to pick out gait. He passes it on to most of his foals. I hated gait and vould pick out a matts sired horse a mile a way. Maybe  i should say ODD GAIT. But no taking away from his ability

I agree. I've driven some that I was sure were going to knuckle over or jump before the first quarter that went on to win easily.  For whatever reason, that's just the way they were built. Terrible gait, big heart.

Are you guys listening to yourselves? Especially you Mike, you know better with all your spot on posts, but, gait has really nothing to do with the success of any horse, either in the past or now. It only has to do with what effects it will have on the horses body overall. Performance enhancers/blood builders are the reason why horses are going so fast and not stopping and racing almost 3/4's of a mile every race at tougher tracks. Performance enhancers DO NOTHING to alter a horses gait at anytime. Next you all are gonna say that conformation has something to do with success in racing....well if you believe that, stay away from the sales cuz you guys are just gonna burn through a lot of money on fancy looking horses, that can't run faster than a squirrel.
