... 2 big mistakes and the card is not even half over. He completely missed the break of hot favorite Rich and Miserable when that trotter broke.
And just now, with Lather Up speeding to the lead, he called Done Well and Dexter Dunn as having left hard. Given that a) that horse was in the second tier, and b) it is somewhat difficult to confuse Dunn and Teague, and c) a racecaller should always have particular focus on the race favorite, it's time for some interviews for the Fall meet.
Sam McKee, for whom the race was named, surely would not have made these mistakes.

I assume he does horse names by driver colors but as you said, it would be near impossible for Done Well to blast off from the 2nd tier. Not to mention a racecaller should have some idea how the race is going to play out. There was almost no chance Lather Up wasn't going to blast off the gate. He also completely missed huge favorite Rich and Miserable going off stride in the third race. I personally dont care as I usually have the races on mute but as you said, the announcer should focus on the favorites so people watching have an idea where their horse is at.

He just screamed out Greenshoe has the lead and pulling clear

only problem is the horse never had the lead at any point

he sounds “ nice” but he sucks

oh and by the way ken, 15-1 isn't a GIGANTIC upset....guess you had to say something very loudly to take away from your huge mistake you made 2 seconds earlier  ngc3
It's a gigantic mistake when you bet your life savings on Greenshoe.  Somewhere James Witherite is either laughing or throwing up.
