they need to fill races

they load up 16 of their best on the big day

i can recall in the 80s and 90s the friday night cards before the big day were loaded with stakes

1991 friday before a Hambletonian  Moiseyev drove all three winners of the first heat ( pacing  stakes race ) then chose Henryletsgo in the final and won that , too

now we have amateurs flooding the card

If Henryletsgo was racing over today's oval, he would have no problem coming home in 24

nice to see somebody recall Henry

could barely make the turns. at M1, but the straightaway he was a rocket ship
Moiseyev handled him masterfully

Terrible payout in those races

Most bettors go deep in those legs and the longshots don’t pay off the value they should

Manzi one of the best drivers that ever sat behind a horse. Way way up towards top of list. Had a great career at medowlands.
