Late PK4 $10,000 Guaranteed Pool

Race 9: Eckley has #8 Twomacsonemach... .Smolin over drove last time with no pressure to the 1/2. Drops in class.

Race 10: All.....(Ron Malette claimed Slzburgerslzburge r, this horse may never get another check the rest of his life!)

Race 11: Smolin has troubled horse #4 Schwartz Bros Tony who made a HUGE improvement last race despite the fact that Smolin over drove him too. Not sure how this horse got out of Hoosier? Isn't there a rule saying he can't leave for a certain number of days after being bought or claimed?

Race 12: Logical 2,3,8. My pick #4 Toughest Of All. 2nd start after being claimed off Ron Malette. tmbz1
*There is something about this race that I am very confused about....#1 RocknRoll Jewel is trained by Robert Dean.
Clearly Mr Dean has an Illinois license and has several starts this year under his belt.
So riddle me this Batman? (again) How come Smolin's horse Schwartz Bros Tony in race 11 was scratched on June 5th at Hoosier for TRAINER NOT LICENSED when that listed trainer was Robert Dean? Why would one claim or transfer trainer on a horse to trainer who was not licensed in a state unless that trainer intended to get his license?

Anyway to review: Pk4 ticket  8/1-8,10(forget Malette)/4/2,3,8 for .50 and #4 for a dollar. tmbz1

1.) Hoosier has a 60 day rule. I claimed the horse on April 17, therefore making him eligible to race outside of Hoosier on or after June 17.

2.) I put Robert Dean down as trainer at Hoosier because I was racing at Hawthorne and didn't feel the desire to ship. Robert Dean had road trouble and didn't make it, hence the scratch.

3.) I sold the horse after the 60 days to Robert Smolin bc I had no desire to race a 6 claimer for a purse of 3k.

Hope this answers your questions..

Thank you sir! tmbz1

Not every track has the same rules and I was honestly confused about Hoosier's.

I had gotten different versions of what you just clarified and didn't know who was right.

Back to handicapping tonight!

Big question and maybe an angle for this whole weekend.

What do you do with Luke Plano's horses?

Usually Hoosier horses come here and are good to go right away, they almost always race well.

So why is Luke in a funk with many Hoosier starts already under his belt for his horses?

Why does he seem to need to race over Hawthorne's surface a couple of starts?

Tonight he has 4 in.  Tomorrow he has 2 in.

Rick keyed the single ticket PK4 payout yesterday at Hoosier winning the 1st leg.

Does this indicate a form reversal coming for their other horses and maybe a price or two to be had?

It pays better if you can jump on board early when a barn is heating up. tmbz1
