We all bet Smolin on the first one only because it was Eckley's first start.

Smolin over drove that horse for no reason other than he must have felt no one could touch him.


28.0 first quarter was ok if he slowed it down but dumbass went a 27.0 2nd quarter! WHY?

There was ZERO movement by anybody behind him until Curtin pulled the 5 in the final turn.

If you don't plan on stealing a slow quarter then try and bottom out the field.

Stone hands Smolin tried to get him home but you could clearly see he was very conscience of how he used his whip considering his past whipping violations.

He couldn't pound that ass hard like he used too.

Same thing with his own horse in the last race, flipping the lines instead of cutting the stifles.

Eckley might want to consider using a driver with better hands and less baggage.

Agree with both of you it seems hes lost his engine keys has no sense of pace .if your going to do that then push and get lengths on them at the top a coast home but it was better effort of his though considerably since only won 3 races in what 70 starts this year

But you could see no movement  until late Marc st Luis got 25 quarter  out of that horse  last race a still ran second so horse has some go

Can I ask then lukepark  I realized  that here is history with smolin in the past but if you don't race or own in Illinois  any longer  why do you look at races and look through the fields if no intention  to enter your horses there .I play knowing stock not what it was but do better there then other tracks with burke filled entries in the long run a cash more frequently.

Horse raced Huge. Smollin did as he was told I’m sure. Once the horse gets use to the long stretch up there he will be sharp. Got beat by the better horse

Ok I see but memory  serves you have nothing nice to say about racing there and said several times close it all down in Illinois  but Indiana  pools are very short from what I've seen Canada is good meds is too and decent in Chicago  for what's stock is left but just my opinion  that's not to say I wont play there if I can get a price play I don't play chalk
