Face it...The whole system is broken and corrupt. Trainers like Burke are too big to fail. They have commissions and investigators in their pocket. Once in a while they give him a bullshit positive just to make it look like they are doing their job but he will never get the big pop we all know he is guilty of.

I am sure he has labs doing the same testing as the tracks. He will know when something is not going to pass before he drops them in the box. You don't make 20 million a year by sending out legit horses.

They've caught him before but the big shot lawyers get him out! Private track owners can deny him without even being specific but they are chicken shit!

Because of the fiasco at Santa Anita, feds have taken a strong interest in horse racing...careful cheaters.

Racing can survive without him. Lets not forget when he did 15 days for high tco2 in jan. No tracks cancelled and all tracks raced without him. But again the questions are, why only 15 days?

I can only hope they do the right thing.  From what I understand the race secretary reads da plop. If the heat is applied to Lowe, Big Toms going to have to do something. He can’t continue to just look the other way.  It’s gone on too long, they are just stealing and buying everyone’s horses behind the trainers back and putting the competition out of the game.  They need to be put in check

Because Howard Taylor represents him.

Money talks, they do a lot of good things for people. Good PR! They have a lawyer who will help negotiate with commissions, this is big business not the old harness racing we all knew,

Iceman what you said is true, but it is the new reality. How many of the trainers can even rig a horse, let alone tell a blacksmith how to shoe one. it's about blood work and enhancers. Race tracks aren't owned by people they are owned by large corporations, except The Big M. Most management doesn't even like racing let alone understand it.

How many times have you seen where the number pad is ready to fall off one side of the horse or the head number fell off during the race. That would never happen to a hands on trainer because they double checked everything. Nowadays it's almost a regular occurrence because the groom is doing it and between yapping and texting in the paddock this shit happens. With Bill Wellwood when he had Tom Artandi as his assistant and an entry in a race they were turning for home 1st and 2nd when Artandi pulled out from behind Wellwood and just as he did a hopple broke and he veered into Wellwood and they both jumped finishing well back. Wellwood was livid and what it came down to was Artandi didn't check the equipment before heading out. Yes it happens all the time a hopple breaks but in Wellwood's mind you might have seen that it was ready to go and could make a change.
Thanks.  That's a good story tmbz1

Most trainers don't even warm the horse up anymore, they pay someone to jog it a few laps. Most top stables actually warm up the horse
