Agree with everyone but don’t consider o’donnell ever being great.  He drove against farmers and trainers that refused to put a catch driver up.   Much much tougher now to be a good driver than back then.  Way more competition now.  Eric Carlson would be considered great if all he had to beat was Ake, Trond, and Roger Hammer.
