Well, if they ( the 13 there) each bought a couple million popcorns and a couple million Snickers, Yonkers would have enough to cover the purses.

Jonkers only chance I'm long-term is to move to a mile track. I believe that was floated and the horsemen opposed it. Bettors will never go back yo Yonkers as a half mile track. A mile track would put Yonkers in the handle league of mohawk and meadowlands. Even that may only delay the ultimate shutdown. Sports betting is going to be a drain on gambling money.
