Fastest quarter in history
« on: August 31, 2018, 06:02:46 PM »
I see where Mcwicked paced a final quarter in 25 flat a few starts back...has there ever been a 24 and change quarter by anyone anywhere?  They need quarterhorse racing for pacers, let's see these nags really fly.

there was a 24.4 quarter recorded in the golden girls a couple years ago but it may have been phony cause it was a 1/8 race
the first quarter was a straightaway

When Vernon had the chute, there were several horses that went sub 25
Oye Vay is one of them.  It was also done quite a few times in NYSS 3yo cp races and IIRC it happened at Colonial Downs once.

One of the current Judges at Vernon was AnnMarie Dolan.  She would remember some of those  first quarters from the chute.
She used to drive there.......and she could really send one off the gate......I seem to remember her beating 26 seconds one time

Panned out also has a nice 2 year old son, Price Hanover that looks to have some speed he’s by American Ideal. Sold to Cancelleire brothers for $82k as a yearling. This is John’s 4th baby he’s purchased by Panned out.
