NZ horse don't do run and gun.  This is a horse who marched 3 and 4 wide for the whole mile.  Why they insist on leaving with him is beyond me.  Why they gave him to Yimmy instead of Crocodile Dundee is beyond me.  Once again, for the millionth time, bad management ruins another Kiwi wonder.  Go back and watch how they raced a horse named Young Quinn.  That's how it should be done.

Patrick Lachance being tended to by paramedics as he awaits transportation to local hospital.  No word on extent of his injuries.  Horse he was driving, Ali, fell in stretch.  Ali did get up promptly and walked to paddock with no apparent injuries.  Wishing the best to Lachance.
