What a fucking joke. Last night judges gave Menary 7 days to accept their offer for the cobalt overage. The fucker was caught give him his penalty, Ontario or should I say AGCO are complete jokes and all judges and the whole fucking regulatory body needs to be fired. We are no different than Pennsylvania, crooked as hell.

Wouldn’t it be nice for criminals to pick and chose sentencing time?

Eh, let’s maybe not split hairs here. That's a lose/lose. The general rule in fact is you cannot hold a license with a felony conviction on your record. I don’t know anything about this person's situation specifically, but under most circumstances, it is true that a first-time conviction for driving under the influence is a misdemeanor and you would have a point. However, there are circumstances under which a DUI can be charged as a felony crime. Therefore there could be some credence to Iceman’s statement, as well. Is it your intention to deny that?

And like I said, you’re just splitting hairs. The fact of the matter is also that people on this forum very often test credulity with their use of the word ‘criminal’ after watching too many episodes of Law and Order to the extent that it has little to no meaning here anyway. You might first have to put it back into some kind of meaningful context before quibbling about anyone’s use of it. It’s not like you cited the exact verbiage that would have accurately quoted the rules yourself. More than likely they use words to the effect of ‘felony record’. Which yes, I’d argue is essentially saying ‘criminal’.
