Is it even fun owning horses anymore?
« on: July 30, 2018, 06:02:40 PM »
That is if you don't live near the track and watch them run regularly.

What's the point of owning overnight horses if all you're doing is watching them in a laptop 1000 miles away?

It cant be that easy to make money owning long distance, can it?

I feel bad for true harness people like LucPark who travels HARD miles
to see his run.

I remember being at the track, in the paddock, at the barn and occasionally to the farm.

But now?  Watching on a computer?  That's not enough for me.

Luc, Although most of what you write is ball busting nonsense, the one thing i sincerely believe is that you really do love the game and win or lose you enjoy owning horses..I salute you for that and hope you win many races in  the future..The business needs guys like you.

How many people own without seeing them race live every now and then or visit the farm?  Any on plop?   It would be interesting to hear.  I agree with Lucpark.  The drive or flight isnt bad when you know a trip to the barn and watching them race is at the end of it.

If you have time, please do accept SCoopies invitation to congratulate him on his win tonight.

He is asking for hugs on Facebook too.  I think.

I INDEED DID CONGRAJEWLATE SHELDON ON THAT 4YR OLD MARES WIN IN N/W OF 2 LIFETIME OR 25K.
SOLICITING A CONGRATS BY ALL AVAILABLE MEANS IS A BIT OVER THE TOP, BUT IF SHELDON IS HAPPY, WE ALL HAPPY.
