I don't doubt that he is a good horseman because his father was one of the best. But he is also a crook just like his father. Now that they are at Hoosier, they can take turns finishing last on Rick's horses.

Rick's driven 7,000 winners and trained 3,800 winners.  Horses he or his wife own have won over 2,500 races.  He's been making $250,000 or more - some years much more- a year for 20 years.  He competed with the best in California in the 80's.   Done it all; seen it all.  I do admit I am biased as he's a friend of mine.

You must not be that close of a friend of Rick's (or not watch him drive very much) because then you would know that he is a crook. Heck, if you just watch him (and Luke) enough you can tell they both cheat. Not to mention, they have both been barred from tracks for cheating. On a much larger scale, Herve Filion, who won more than 15,000 races, was a crook too. If you tell him my screen name, he will remember me. I worked for him for about 4 years starting at Northfield and then when we moved to California.

Luke is a great driver...if he's driving at Cal-Expo and Cal-Expo-level driving talent. He's a one way hack artist. Will bet him on anything at Cal-Expo but pretty much nothing elsewhere. Didn't he come to Hoosier before and go like 1 for 200?

 I do remember Puke Plano tried his luck in Chicago ONCE. Once being the key term, since he only won one race. That was with a horse dropped into a claimer and there were multiple claims entered that night. Puke would be just another homeless person without the Godfather.
