Oh come on, he did exactly what they wanted him to do. Her first start of the year with bigger races to come. He gave her an easy trip and let her finish up well. I think he stinks as a driver myself, but he did his job there.

She was the best horse, yes!! She will likely win going away next start, probably with a better driver aboard as well.
I just believe Eric did exactly what Trond wanted there.

I didn't defend it, I defended Eric A, but that is EXACTLY what happened. And yes bettors should know that. Heck even Dave Brower knew that, why was she made a 6/1ML? Wise up, that is how harness racing works, it happens every week at every track. Oh, and yes bettors who are paying attention do want to know she will be better next week.
