I'll remember being introduced to harness racing in the mid-80s. Going to Maywood on Mondays with guys that worked in a GM plant in Wisconsin who used to go damn near every night before OTBs. Leave after work, and sometimes go right to work after staying in the bars near Sportmans too long. Used to have fun at Maywood. Then that corrupt piece of shit state went to hell. Every one that lives there is either on the take or thinks they are in the mob. Illinois has to be the most worthless state in the union. It's too bad. Used to a great time at Maywood and Sportsman's. Now the tate has less money than I do, but everybody hat lives there acts like Tony Soprano. Especially when they live in Wisconsin all summer.

Both candidates for governor oppose racin of any kind and slots madigan the real governor hates racing and gambling how long will Hawthorne stay. Costly to change track from tbreds to harness. Plus tbreds are what the Carey's all about.
