Wait until next year...eerrr oooops 2018 at best
« on: September 29, 2016, 04:59:56 PM »
Just some baseball season ending venting:

Boston's Karma used to be "Wait until next year" until the year they took 4 in a row from the Yankees to make the World Series and then sweep to win it all and finally end "The Curse"

That is something my favorite team, the Yankees will probably have to say after one more Baltimore win, which eliminates them from the wild card race.  The recent Boston Massacre of 2016 when the Yankees had the lead in 4 in a row and dropped 4 in a row, to drop out of wild card contention, was a killer series, so even if the Yankees somehow win their next 5 games, they will only be at 87 wins and at least 2 other teams will have 88 or more by the time this week is over.  So no wild card this year....

However, enough crying in the beer for now.  2017 there are no real pitchers worth any money in the free agent status, so the Yankees will have to wait until 2018.....their kiddie corp pitchers of Green, Sessa, Mitchell, Severino, are not ready to help Tanaka and Sabbathia is all thru...imagine getting $21 million and only winning 7 games this year (perhaps 8 if he wins tonight)....that's $3 million per win....perhaps they should make him a pitching coach and get him off the roster for 2016.....

The Baby Bombers of Sanchez, Austin, Judge, Torreyes, along with Gregorious and Castro, give the Yankees a nice young nucleus to build upon....perhaps not as good as Jeter, Posada, Rivera, Bernie Williams and Andy Pettite...but close enough

The Baby Bombers will mature next year and 2018 will be a World Series contender year if they Yankees can develop some home grown pitchers mixed in with some free agents that have arms that won't fall off (ie: Nathan Evoldi)....

Maybe super scout Alex Rodriquez can locate some talent for them for the money they are paying him to be a special roster person, advising Hal Steinbrenner..... LOL

Enuf said for now !
According to world famous attorney Alan Dershowitz, "Everyone is entitled to the best defense their money can buy."
