Jasmine Crockett ran a good campaign against a strong candidate in James Talarico He'll face either sitting Senator Cornyn or whackjob Ken Paxton, who was under federal indictment for 6 years, a known adulterer, and someone who claimed they geld back hundreds of thousands of legally cast votes for President in Texas.IMO we haven't seen the last of Crockett, while Talarico's star is rising . Tough task for a Dem winning statewide office in TX, but turnout in the primary was very strong. As for Green, as Hyman Roth said: " he's small potatoes" a backbencher who really isn't a factor in national politics. There's signs that MAGA fever may be breaking among young voters, the gains in the Latino community, and even seniors. The GOP isn't offering them what was promised.
Some people just love to hear themselves talk...Al Green did not lose the primary; he advanced to a runoff election after receiving 44.2% of the votes, while his opponent, Christian Menefee, received 46%. The runoff will take place in May 2026.
