Should RW be in that role due to Conflict of Interest. Harness Racing basically gave an Industry Stalwart a Monopoly by giving him control of the legislative branch of racing in the USTA. That means he can target who he wants while others accused of the same type of activity skip down the sidewalk whistling.
USTA should have brought in a non-partisan special counsel person like maybe the head of AQHA or a huge rancher in Montana who breeds Quarter Horses. The key being someone who is respected but not connected to Harness Racing.
Imagine if Donald Trump told Lexus they had full control of the automotive industry. The first thing Lexus would do is get rid of BMW and Mercedes. Maybe Lexus has a buddy at Audi, so Audi gets a free pass.
Isn't that just common sense?
