The country that spends more on defense than anyone else, even though we are at the lowest risk of being attacked.  (geographically)
The country that everyone wants to trade with, creating huge discrepancies in trade balances.

Those things are still true, but will feel a little different.
Our allies will up their defense budgets more, so the US can support them, not carry them.
We'll still be the country that everyone wants to trade with, but cash flow for exports and imports will be more equitable.  Why would you want to support China's GDP?
