Beckwith had that horse on and off most of last year as it was claimed back and forth at Saratoga. Its a claimer, to sacrifice winning and settle for 2nd makes no sense in a claimer, and risk it being claimed. Especially that horse who obviously has ability, since it has gone thru many hands over the years in the claiming ranks. Plus the purses aint that great, at Yonkers in those 20K NW conditioned races, probably that tactic is common. Beckwith's operation is keep jamming them in, in those NW races, run them thru the conditions as fast as you can, then sell.
