Program to show who does the day to day training.
Programs use to read Haughton Stable Bill Vaughn trainer.
Or Stanley Dancer Stable Jack Smith trainer. etc

Written on paper or papyrus, using letters or hieroglyphics? ngc3

Go on with your nostalgia fantasy, make sure you catch caddy's 11pm train!

For everyones benefit.
No one driver allowed to drive in more then 50% of the nights races.
I am just an old horse trainer still going around in circles. Sometimes Fast. Sometimes Half-Fast.

$1,000 fine for talking on the track.
I have done my share of talking on the track. The vast majority of it has nothing to do with the upcoming race. You may well be talking about the gal hanging over the fence by the finish wire, but talking before the race looks bad.

I once as a teenager told the guy that was to follow me out behind the gate from the back tier that " This horse makes bad breaks".
Rodney Rice spit some tobacca juice and mumbled" Just remember kid I will be on the top and you will be on the bottom".

Public Beheadings of Cheating Cocksuckers!  tmbz1

That's it!  ;D

No! Crucifixition with nails, not rope. Possibly hanging with baling wire so you got to watch them mess themselves.

Sounds great, just trying to keep to the typical 20 minutes in-between races!  Lob off 6-7 heads, have a beer and hot dog and move onto race 2.  ngc3

Welcome back Kooter I thought we lost you to old, famous horses, I was ready to hop in my Delorean and bring you back.     ;D

Perhaps it would be wise to just due away with 1/2 mile tracks altogether.  it is so easy to get things done on 1/2 milers. Another thought that can never happen is to draw for drivers rather than allowing the drivers to make self serving choices thus allowing the best horses to always have the best driver with the best post which always = $2.60 payout.  Of course trainers would throw a fit and that idea would be tabled rather quickly but it is fun to think about. I'm kinda' sick of watching Bartlett or Brennen roaring these 2/5s around Yonkers. Key word here is watching. Track is basically unbetable unless you are great at exactas.

Just a bad thought!

No need to list stable name, and trainer. You had to have a responsible trainer listed or be there yourself. Didn't matter if it was grand circuit or overnights. It also meant the % went right to the stable, not one of the
Vaughns or Jack Smith. Now the trainer only has to have someone sign in now. In the winter I would leave horses up north in the winter, I had a deal to split the % only way I got it was to do the stable name thing.

Good idea.  Like when they strapped little monkeys on top of greyhounds at the dog track.
