7/15 Meadowlands Pace Night Races
« on: July 15, 2023, 03:51:31 AM »
NINE top races tonight, all with 6 figure+ purses and headed by the Meadowlands Pace, the William Haughton and Dorothy Haughton paces for older horses and mares, and the Miller and Dancer 3yo Hambo & Hambo Oaks preview races, as well as the Hambo maturity.  Looks like lots of chalk:

Race 3   #6 Secret Volo
Race 4   #4 Bond
Race 6   #3 Jiggy Jog S (no show wagering and Lasix not permitted)
Race 8   #2 Twin B Joe Fresh
Race 9   #1 Silver Label
Race 10 #2 Air Power
Race 11 #5 Confederate
Race 12 #3 A Buckabett Hanover
Race 13 #4 Tactical Approach

One of the top 5 or 6 Racing programs of the year.  Enjoy it.

What really stands out to me is not one horse is trained by Burke in the Meadowlands Pace.

Considering he had five in the Pepsi North America and none made the final it's not too surprising.  He just doesn't have the tippy top stock this year (until he finds someone to buy).

Tough race. Im dumping confederate and sticking with toscanno rail horse. Wp. In my p4  im using fulton, christchurch and canibal.

Last night noel daley 2 yr olds still running huge at nice prices.

I do like two bombs on tonights card to finish in $. 2nd race, ginsburg horse (4) will be totally ignored and is worth a play underneath in triples. Huge driver change in competive field from ginsburg/callahan /andy miller to aggressive mcnair. Sometimes ginsburg horses improve big in 2nd or 3rd start in barn.

In third like 1 svansteel horse at 12-1 to be in triple. Ake has his horses ready in stakes and 1 not far off 456 (the favorites).

Good luck and enjoy card!

Anybody else notice that Diamond Creek owns all or a part of the 3 4 and 5 in the pace.  Think they have an investment in trying to get their best closer (and horse) an increased stud fee by winning a classic?

Why don't we have prop betting in harness racing? Over under 1:46.0 in the Haughton.

Missed opportunity
