We all know how frustrating working with these animals can be at times but you have to remember that they didn't ask for any of this. There's a reason she's acting out. Horses aren't born bad actors. If you don't have the patience to deal with it you really need to move on. Beating an animal like that is horrific.

If what has been said about this poor filly is true, she should not be at the racetrack. And if you find that you have to beat the beejeesus out of a 2yos to get them out on the track, you should find a new profession. Does anyone really believe what happened won't make her even more of a nut?

Well said this filly obviously was not broke and trained right. Most horses will put up a fight at some point of the breaking process but if handled properly with patience most will overcome it as they learn to trust you

The local DA's office states they are aware and investigating. Hopefully he gets formally charged with Animal Cruelty, as well.
