I was rooting for D Hill. But I think the decision to keep the winner up was justified. While Spencer did drift, D Hill, as someone else commented, never had to take up, and I doubt the 3/4 length margin of victory would have been eliminated had the winner stayed straight. And perhaps the judges consider these are two year old trotters, not aged pacers.
