Awesome person who will be missed.
Back in the day I had one racing at Monticello and this was before any of the technology where you could watch the race. I called and asked John if he would let me know how my horse did after the race. He said give me your phone # and that he would call me from his desk, put me on speak phone so that I could hear the race call. Not too many old school guys that would do something like that nowadays. I didn’t know him at all.
Special guy for sure. RIP BROTHER…
