I like to see the best horses on a 5/8's track, because they show how good a horse is. Sometimes a particular horse may have to start up and slow down more than twice in a  race. The  "small tracks" expose both weaknesses and strengths for both prospective Breeding stock IMO! .

Scotty is entitled to his opinion but he showed his Rick Zeron DNA by voicing it on harness racing's biggest night. You wouldnt catch dex or todd doing something that vain, they just figure things out and cash the checks. Mile racing is unbelievably predictable and shit to bet, I found the 5/8ths added some intrique to the racing. Lots of guys got locked in while others figured it out and as a bettor there were numerous scores to be had, unlike 90% at the big tracks where fav's make front get their 29 second breather and sprint away.

Scott is a patient driver. A big track suits his style. He adjusted to win 2 B. Crowns. I don't think any of his other drives hit the board.

Good interview.

He fucked Meshuggah all the way until the 25' BC.

He had a good horse this year too, won another.

I think this was some of the consistently best racing I have seen in a Breeders Crown ever.  There was action from start to finish in just about every race.

It forced action from start to finish.  Drivers actually had to think and the best ones did. Since the Breeders Crown started having all the races at one track, I have been there every time it has been held at Woodbine, Mohawk, and Pocono and watched the rest. This was the most exciting Breeders Crown from beginning to end yet.

have to agree
a lot of unnecessary whining about the track
people talking like its buffalo raceway for god sakes
just an fyi, not everyone( including gamblers ) just wants to see the best horse stroll around and win for fun on a mile track
take the super chapter mile for example, he got stung and no where to be seen at the end

driver strategy  comes more into play on a 5/8

I was at Woodbine when Muscle Hill won the Breeders Crown. After the race was over someone screamed "boring".  Compare this to the races this past weekend:

We saw real racing at Scioto.
