I'm not sure why someone so successful need to make comments like that. What happened to just being humble? Ron Burke will one day leave the sport. It will continue on without him. Owners will find others to train and enter their horses.

He wouldn't shut down his operation even if they pissed on his Oatmeal! Besides he likes to walk around and tell everyone how important he is. More people in the business would love to see him go than stay anyway! Anyone who has trained knows that the success he's had is not just from jogging an extra mile or a faster or longer training trip.!

The only shot Ronnie Wrenn had was to leave because if he grabbed off the gate he would have gotten away 6th. I  also saw an interview with  Ron Burke after the heat and he stated that he instructed Wrenn not to duck off the car. Had he fell in second or third and won the elimination, everyone would be calling it one of the best Jug drives that they ever seen. It was definitely a "Checkers or Wreckers" type strategy!

Got to disagree man
It was only a 5 horse race, not 6
He could of easily ducked in on the rail 4th in the first turn and then likely would have been 2nd over at the half.
Anything is better then getting hung the entire mile in an ELIMINATION race where 4 of the 5 horses advance also burning up your horse for the final
He thought Bartlett would let him clear on Fragment

Yannick should get half of Wrenn's Jugette earnings. He did 'A LOT' more driving keeping that Darlin's Angel

No doubt when Burke has multiple horses entered in a race, there are strategies and they have a game plan formulated..but having said that, none of those fillies were beating Loua Dipa. Not a chance. Ultra impressive

Burke is a master of running his stable.   obviously, the largest ever in history.   Today, money is not an issue.   He has made a fortune racing and now has successfully implemented a breeding program successfully.  Unless PUNISHER STABLE  or another powerful entity comes into the business it will be difficult to compete with Burke.   These folks had to work very hard but truthfully it is nearly impossible to beat them.  Ron and Mark Weaver are truly doing a great job!!
