He was absolutely a bet, a strong one and I wish the race was really close.....because I might have gotten a price on him in the final, LOL. Nah, that wasn't happening. While I thought the elims were pretty predictable, it was still exciting. There were some nuances that I found interesting. But, you're right, 7/5 was bordering on a gift if you really liked him.

As far as the Gural/Hambo Society thing. Nobody knows what went on behind closed doors. We just saw the sad outcome. What came out from behind the closed doors is nothing more than posturing and propaganda. Finger-pointing and blame. Every single time. Republicans and Democrats, labor and management, and so on. All part of the hypocrisy. But in the end, as I said, I think they are both to blame. I didn't like Gural's press release on the new big race, but again, posturing.

Nice. Looking forward to hearing what he had to say. As far as the Hambo plan.....it's simple and pretty much common knowledge. John Campbell has openly said it. The Hambo Society is moving their race date(s).

I'm not as big gambler or even a smart bettor, but i still like picking horses..
I happened to see the Milsteinfrom Northfield and Redland Rocketman's closing effort on the half miler was outstanding.
In a short field he should be first or second which should give him a decent post for the final.
Is Jamison a good half mile driver? Snooze, you lose,,,,,

Like most drivers, he honed his craft on the B tracks , half milers in Ontario before cracking the WEG circuit. Flamboro, Western Fair, Elmira, Saturday afternoons at Woodstock etc.
