It is kind of entertaining, and a bit scary as well, LOL. First, the t-bred mega-partnerships are starting to become more common. Also, several of the breeders are staying in for a piece as well. Second, for the select few top-priced yearlings, we are seeing the prices creep up. Legit or not, it's happening. Not only are the top 10 highest priced yearlings ever sold north of $500,000, it's actually more than even the top 20! Yes, people can scream tax law, stock market, reinvestment, and so on, yeah, we all get that. But the highest end of the game as become so distorted that the #'s are just nonsensical. It trickles into the racehorse market as well. Crazy numbers. Expenses are up, horse prices are up, and at that end of the market, purses are down! Yeah, that makes sense. LOL.
