Gerry Sarama passed away.....

For all you old-timers, one NY's own, Gerry Sarama passed away. He was 83 years old and lived a long and full life. A lot of people don't know that Gerry got a late start in this business and began his career after getting out of the Marines. His brother, Dan, was already in the business and Gerry went to work as a groom for him.

Gerry was a very good driver, and an excellent horseman. A lot of finesse, soft hands, but strong when need be. Gerry was well liked and well respected by his friends, peers, and throughout the sport and business. Gerry was one of the good guys. He'll be missed.

After they got divorced Ellie married Joe Poliseno.
