I don't know the details about how AC casinos do, but from what I read, industry wide the #'s are down. Up or down, they are still an extremely strong lobbying industry in NJ and they will do whatever they can to keep the monopoly. I think the political and economic landscape has changed and they aren't as strong as they used to be. They can't be with casinos opening up and down the surrounding states borders. NYC, Westchester and all is just the icing on the cake. Remember, people said the same thing about sports betting, LOL.
