I fully expect Brandon Blvd to be at Pocono, possibly Mamba too, both are coming off sub par races in the Cane Pace. Probably see Al Papi too, probably not Melillo since he ran last night.

I talked to a guy from the Burke organization for a few minutes at the Hambo. I expect Al Papi at Pocono and I would not count out Melillo and probably Frantic Hanover. It just depends which race their earning qualify them for. I doubt Burke would be concerned racing Melillo again in a week. Expect to see five Burke colts in the Jug.

The only possible 1 or 2 starts remaining outside of Canada will be the breeders crown at Scioto..short of that..Canada only

If he wasn't planning on leaving Canada he could have switched to a different driver from there like Louis Roy who's driven for him in the past... Having Todd come up for an overnight race was to give him a feel for the horse, otherwise there's no reason to bring him

There is little doubt that was the plan. They expected a win with Todd driving last night they he would finish out the year driving Beau. A top three year old would have destroyed that field. Beau is not right are he hit his ceiling. Before the race last night. they said the plan was Pocono next week. I doubt that performance was good enough to continue with that plan. We do not know what Todd said to Doc Moore after the race.

this was just a bad spot and bad post to begin with. It went much like I expected...no shame in going 49.1 at all but expecting him to win from this spot given his recent races was a reach..way overbet...Calicoa is a legt ffa

Todd eliminated the issue with the post by the first eights. Mohawk is not an oval. The second turn is virtually the same as a straight according to people have driven it. These were not even the top horses at Mohawk. A top three year old should have won for fun.

He had a perfect trip last night.   Landed a hole.. second over trip.. yes they went 48.4 but he is not the superstar they played him out to be. Enough said. Time to turn the page. He's just another horse.

My take is that he raced well enough to take a shot in the Hempt next week. He doesn't scare anyone anymore, and it shapes up as a great race with Brandon Blvd, Gentleman's Club, Al Papi and Melillo as the ones to beat.
