i have a dumb Hambo question

Why was/is it so important to the Hambo Society to have a three year committment- both from M1 which JG declined -and a new track?
for a "permanent" home?
The Breeders Crown is a great event that doesn't need a permanent home.....
Trying to start a new "tradition"?
I think we're a bit late in the game for that.....
And not for nothing, SBONJ ,Mark Ford, Jeff Gural and overpaid john Campbell should be at minimum ashamed and at worst hung in effigy if you could find a tree strong enough for Ford.

Campbell and "The Society" are not very confident of a M1 casino --and Gural would not promise he would continue racing without one-so 3  years in hand is worth more than one and then a question mark

meaning "The Society" would be left holding the bag if Gural closes after 2027 and then they would need to scramble to find a home for 2028/29
