Sure.....both impressive....fer sure

just remember The Meadowlands now 2 seconds

faster than ever in History..

152 types going in 150

Trotters went in 48 and change

This is unheard of...

bottom line....is how they do vs the top players

I would rather win in 1:49 and change

than lose in 147.3

These days..times are becoming less of a factor

Tonite a 2 year old filly @ Mohawk that won out of a pocket trip
last week in 1502 !!!!

cut the mile..looked great ...on her hands and knees
at the end.

 lasted @ 1-5    in 152

 still super.....all relative

always hard to figure until they get to the top

 and things sort out....

Probably better off racing these horses starting at 3
but the breeders would be out of business.

Looks like Cattlewash and Bulldog dominating the OSS

Sure...they are getting the top 200 Broodmares..

The other stallions getting # 201-500

You dont have to be a Rocket Scientist to see who

will get the best 2 year olds.

times and especially final quarters have always been completely over rated. If other horses are involved with the dynamics of the speed scenario....of the internal fractions like what McNair did in his Adios elim...those factors make final times skewed and totally over judged.

I for one am very impressed.  I own Vizcaya, from the same broodmare Captiva Island.  I was outbid at $75,000 at Lexington and Vizcaya also has lots of potential; won the Bobby Weiss consolation, DQd in a preliminary and now in Lexington.  No more foals coming from Captiva Island, and the second dm is Sanabelle Island, who had 57 wins.
