(3) The VID. Knew the owner,JOE SULLIVAN. Forgot the trainer. Good friends with his valet and chauffer. JOE owned a string of hardware stores in chicagoland area. His chauffer was as we called him the DR.So we on the apron last bar watchin the VID run. His last 2 races when he enters the strech,and this back in days when ARLINGTON had big crowds. So the VID has his head lookin at the crowd along the rail. I says to the DR. DOC tell JOE this guy needs BLINKS on. Next race they on and the VID became a MONSTER. Went on to win over a MILLION. IN one of his last races,he running on the grass at the MILLION MILE at ATLANTIC city. They puts PAT DAY on top. He was told to hit the front and wire. PAT DAY do otherwise. HE decides to ride from back. The VID finishes 5th. After the race,JOE is pissed. PAT DAY goes:NO ONE tells me how to ride a pony. Thank you MR.DAY. I'M happy you found religion.
