99 PERCENT OF TRAINERS    THEY  LEAD FALSEHOODS AND PROMISES LIKE SHEEP TO A KILL PEN

Sums it up pretty good.  There is a certain type of human that is susceptible to the average sales pitch of a trainer, and they salivate when they find one.

Not a single time.  That is because I decided the money was made in bonus/rebate/discount, as well as off-shores that did not co-mingle.  Now if you want stories about those, I'd have to have an idea of who you are, but I imagine I could tell a few.

I fell in love with the game, that's for sure.  But it was obvious to me that there were few people in it that I could, or would, trust.  I'll add one more to my list!

Just my opinion, based on my life.

Sounds like you're out of the game, but still enjoy being around it.

If that''s the case, and you were doing well, I'd have to wonder if the game was getting impossible to beat for someone like yourself who claims to have taken a virtually flawless approach.

Is that the case?

It took about 10 years for me to discover you could get something back on every bet.  I call that my "tuition" phase.  After paying that for a decade, I spent the next 3 decades riding that education.

The past few years I have cut way back.  My handle is down to about 20% of what it was, and that is sometimes forced.

When TRN (not RTN, but its precursor) debuted, I was in heaven.  I was not tied to the track anymore.  That led me to discover a sequence of ADWs and other options that turned it completely around for me.

I don't need to be as hungry any more, but it will always be on at some point, every day.  My nuclear family is all gone, so that makes this the longest mainstay in my life.  I met my wife after I met harness racing.

Makes sense you met her after harness racing, took that long to find a woman with 200 IQ to put up with your 300  ngc3

I was 17 1/2 when I met harness racing.  I was almost 19 when I met my wife.

She has certainly put up with me.  I thank her often.

That's great, and actually very impressive that longevity and appreciation.

Women as I found it will tolerate a lot, but not neglect.

20 years ago you could own trotters and have some success. Those days are long gone. The cheats are everywhere in all classes.
Reason to buy is for the fun and the money doesn't matter.
Reason not to buy are the big stables. They make it tough on the small guy.

Many tracks have left me, or cut way back on their race days/race numbers.

Luckily, my wife has left me...yet!
