Of course we can all agree that safety should always come 1st first horses and horse people but what does cold temps alone have to do with better safe than sorry. Ford advises meads to cxl because horseman are concerned but he races his stock at Yonkers over the weekend? How is that explained?
Were there any negative issues arising from all of the races run in the cold at Yonkers or elsewhere where temps were the same as at the meads.?
Has to be that the gm on behalf of the track must benefit from not racing.
What about the employees,food suppliers, and others that count on those 2 nights to make ends meet.
If I’m missing something pls educate me.
