Off to a very slow start at yonkers and meadowlands.  1 for 22 at yonkers and 1 for like 34 or 38 at m1. Yes I understand he isn't racing his top stock right now but I cant really recall a year hes been this slow at either place.  Also let's face it his "bad" "lower" end stock is better than most people best stock.

     He has very few positives in relation to the numbers he races every year. And his help never saw anything. Forget jogging and training in 10 degree weather, I dont think you have any clue how difficult it is just entering and shipping 150 horses a week.

I guess my point was I dont recall him being off to a slow start like this at meadowlands and yonkers in years past. Ok yes hes got 400k in earnings so far and yes pro will have 30 million made by years end.   I read somewhere his monthly bill to run the operation are about a million a month.   So yes by years end it all evens out and he puts a few million in his pocket but must be stressful to down 600k for the month at this point?

I think the 1 for 20-something, 1 for 30-something at two particular tracks is nothing more than a circumstantial anomaly. January is not a "typical" month and by the time the #'s shake out, I think you'll see Burke at more the norm. I do think he shoots better elsewhere than typically at the Meadowlands, but that's neither here nor there. Listen, I never had a horse with him, and I can't say I am a fan, but his operation is impressive to say the least. Not healthy for the business or sport, but that's capitalism.
