I actually think Dave isn’t that bad.  Picks aren’t great, but he does a decent job hosting the show.  Deb is making my ears bleed!

I remember something similar back in the 90s. Wasn’t Debbie and Dave it was Darryl and Dave.  Very entertaining, had a great tip one night, trainer add a head pole, normally I’m  just a one pole guy but occasionally you do need two poles. In fact I’ve tried two poles a few times myself…..but I find one works just fine.  Cashed large that night though.

Gural could easily cut his daily losses by not having anyone do their picks. Why have added payroll when it is not needed? CAWs are over 50% of their handle, and they don't listen to the picks. Reduce his losses and go with just an announcer, as many tracks do. I have to admit, Like stated ealier, I  too actually turned off the volume when they were speaking.

Couldn't agree more, Dave is passionate and knowledgeable about the product and it shines through each and every telecast. To make fun of someone's appearance just shows a lack of depth and maturity.

We should all only hope that we had more nice people like Dave and his wife on this planet. Show some class and stop the Dave Little overweight crap or at least look in the mirror being poking fun at him. He’s a really nice person.

On an unrelated story, Dunkin Donuts, located 20 feet away, ran out of donuts before the first race.

I've known Dave for 25 years and I agree with others on here that he's a good guy.
Also I used to love reading his Yonkers analysis in the Daily News back in the day.

Couldn’t help yourself Oliver. We will all be judged one day and not by the likes of someone like you. Get a life.

  • dougie: IIB, I think the mayor will sign the bill if it reaches his desk. The optics on this issue is bad for the horse carriage industry. Animal activists are adept to using the media to enlist horror and anger by the public.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
