Otten Rallis and Prewitt as usual obnoxiously responding to gamblers on Twitter. Telling them the track is at no fault for this whatsoever.

They just despise gamblers. The hate breeds from every aspect of the industry

some of you are insane here....too bad things happen like that

apparently this issue wasnt discovered to late in the day. This is one of the greatest female pacers of all time. She is special in a world of her own on that track. Kudos to Chris Ryder who had the horses best interests at heart. You morons would rather see a breakdown or a lame horse because you got fucked and stuck with that rat Sylvia.

there was no fix..shit happens, the horse comes first

It was discovered before race 1. That's all that matters. Let's not get confused here. Nobody wants the horse raced lame. All anyone wants is the horse scratched as appropriate before race 1. Instead of pushing the envelope with a lame horse and waiting to scratch after the pick 5 started. Is this really not clear to you?

no one on planet earth is scratching a 1-9 shot in a breeders crown final until they’re certain the horse can’t go.

entry fee of $5000.00 USD gone of course - yes that's a smaller issue

This is not correct:

They did not know she was not able to race until later.

"I warmed her up and she was off up front"
This was prior to race 1. You can ask anyone there if you dont believe me

Your basic premise is why the entire industry is a non debatable failure. No consideratiom for what's fair for the customer. Just deal with it!

I can feel your valid frustration-the scratch should have been announced immediately

who came up with "you get the favorite if there is a scratch?"--i am aware this would be unpopular-but they could make it an "all" race

as far as "just deal with it"--that seems to be the way horizontal wagering is structured everywhere-so if this happens-the bettors should be prepared to "just deal with it"--it comes with the hazards of playing horizontals

I know you want to blame the track for screwing the bettors, but in my opinion Ryder is to blame for the late scratch.

I am 100% on board with the horizontal hazards. Had this particular horse gotten hurt out of nowhere after race 1, so be it. I know the rules and I accept the consequences.

However, This case is very different. They had a known lame horse on their hands before race 1 of a pick 5 and waited until after race 1 to announce the scratch. They sided on pushing the envelope with racing a lame horse rather than protecting the customers (and the safety of the horse and others) by forcing a decision before the p5 started. If they are unable to manage this situation fairly and properly, they shouldn't be able to offer horizontal wagers to the general public

Chris Ryder bears a striking resemblance to Herbert the Pervert from Family Guy.

How do you know Ryder didn't make the decision until after the 1st race to scratch her. The track vet should have told Ryder well before the 1st race to make a final decision or they're going to make it for him and scratch the horse.

And if you actually watched the interview, he took her out a second time and there was talk of taking her out a third time.  By the way, I was there.

The track had zero to do with this.  The track would want her racing. It was the Breeders Crown, I am sure he wanted to race here.  I have seen scratches in stakes races closer to post time than this.

Can you imagine what people would have said if she raced and broke down?
