Testing
« on: September 27, 2025, 12:05:25 PM »
Ohio needs to test for hematocrit levels. Why are we not? Over 50 and your scratched. If its over 50 ur horse is sick, dehydrated, or epo'ed. Shouldn't be racing. Test for Hematocrit, tco2, amphetamine and opiates.  Thats it who cares about bute lasix cortisone and antibiotics

I don't disagree. The problem seems to be that the dopers have the tests beat. The ones that get caught are rarely by testing. Investigative work is what is needed...in my opinion.

The judges have failed Ohio racing over and over. They need to  special horses every night. Put the cheats in detention. Nobody's going to do anything about Burke or Morgan that's going to have to be on DEA and national level  task force.Private investigate and watch these 2 crack and crumble.

I dont think you should be fined just scratched until your horses hematocrit is within range.

I'd be at the leading barns twice a week for as long as it took to get the data necessary to boot their asses out of the game. And I'd get the Feds involved as well once the drop off in performance occurs.

It's not that easy the percentags of red blood cells vary from exercise and horse to horse. Inside sources tells me they are working on it to figure it out an average before and after exercise.

I didnt say blood count i said hematocrit level simple test before the race.  Test for hematocrit over 50 and the sport will change over night.

The hematocrit test is a simple blood test that measures the percentage of red blood cells in your blood. While the test itself is brief, it typically takes only a few minutes to draw blood and analyze it in a lab. The test is part of a complete blood count (CBC) and is not lengthy.

It's already been figured out if the horse is a madocrit isn't within the normal range of 32 to 50 over or under they are not fit to race problem solved you eliminate EPO for performance enhancing and you also let those know with low hematocrit they need to do some work to get their horses healthy

This sounds so simple. Why are they not catching the many, many EPO users?

How do explain all those arrested? They did not test positive. That would mean the testing is useless in most cases.
