Meadowlands Last Night and Tonight ?
« on: September 20, 2025, 06:45:42 PM »
Is Monmouth Park presenting their races at the Meadowlands? Looked like only Six (6) races each night if I am reading things correctly. What is the reason to hold two nights of racing with only 6 Cards? Will it be the same next week? Why not just race the cards at Monmouth Friday thru Sunday? Are the flats racing at Meadowlands?

They've been running a Monmouth at Meadowlands meet for years at Meadowlands, all the races are on the turf. I believe there are 9 racing days.

Settlemoire said they are OBLIGATED to allow it to be there for some ridiculous reason when Monmouth has their own track!

it is the contract agreement with the tbred horsemen about how many dates they can run..and M1 turf races are a part of that

all the M1 races are on grass if you didn't notice

also-you must live under a rock-----they have being doing this for over a decade

I believe that T-bred horsemen get the simulcast money...during their meet. It use to be longer. I read somewhere Gural had to pay them off. That was a while ago.

They used to do that for years in Chicago. The Washington Park meeting was run at Arlington Park.

It would make more sense to race full card at Monmouth through October and leave the trotters at the Big M.

Turf only and they are still experiencing the same problem they had during the Monmouth meet-----they have trouble filling races.

I liked the old days when they had a t-bred meet at the Meadowlands.
