When you use your free speech and hurt your employers business, they have the right to remove you.  Nothing to do with the government or Your President.
Blaming Trump is just being a whiny bitch.

Sam knows politics

Kimmel wasn’t exercising free speech. He was deliberately altering the truth to influence political viewpoints. I used to watch the late night shows for entertainment and laughs. Basically, to escape everyday politics.  I don’t want to listen to any late night crusaders. No thanks.
which truth did Kimnel alter, exactly? If/when it's proven that it's you who lied, I'll be emailing the admin to have you banned.
Thanks in advance for clarifying your post  tmbz1
Looking forward to having you straighten this out.

To all the trolls and MAGA know nothings, the Kimmel suspension isn't about what he said, it's about a multi billion dollar merger that right leaning Nexstar needs to make by acquiring Tegna. They need FCC approval to exceed limit % ownership of local stations to close deal.
Since everything flows thru the greedy orange fat fingers of Trump, the FCC chairman has done a 180 on free speech.
Disney panicked because it needs Nexstar to broadcast content.
It's all about the fetid swamp Trump said he was going to drain but instead wallows in 24/7.
If any of you bothered to read Jimmy Kimmel's statement of support for Kirk's family on the evening of his death, you'd see his position on those events.

Mr Fix It, which truth did Jimmy alter  .....

"We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it," Kimmel said.

I'd say that is an outright lie by the host of an "entertainment" show.
His employer apparently agrees.

Kimmel is a piece of shit just like Colbert and Fallon. They think their political opinion means something but it doesn't and most people watching aren't there to hear it. None of those clowns can shine Carson's shoes.
perfectly said!

of course it is horrible that anyone gets shot/killed for any political opinions and there is NO place for that in our society

..... but what Kimmel said is 100% the truth

the following is the reason he was suspended...

Jimmy Kimmel was good on 'Win Ben Stein's Money and the "Man Show" with Adam Corrola.
He really isn't funny at all.  I find him to be a smug, repugnant pussy.  His wife Molly is the executive producer of his show and for years he felt he was bullet proof............ ...obviously he wasn't.

Congratulations MAGA, you've owned another lib (for the moment). This time it only cost you your 1st Amendment rights in perpetuity.
The cherry on top is 40+ years ago, the top 50 media companies owned 90% of the outlets. When Nexstar acquires Tegna Media, only 5 companies will own 93% of the market. Expect further erosion of your rights.
I'm not Hush; we live in different states. Therefore, anyone saying so I wager $1,000 I'm not him. Any takers please set up escrow account for wager. You'll lose!

Can you share with us who those companies are and who their big properties are?

It's all cool that they silenced him and his right to free speech because he said something that you, or more specifically Donnie T, didn't like. He wasn't threatening anyone, just giving his opinion. Whether you think it was funny or not or whether you agree with it or not he has a right to say it. Imagine if you had your right to post here on the ole Plop terminated only because someone(s) disagreed with your take on something you posted ??
-----------------
Not a single Republican, nor was he suspended or fired, was outraged when FOX commentator Brian Kilmeade made in appropriate remarks about homeless people:

“A lot of them don’t want to take the programs,” Jones said. “A lot of them don’t want to get the help that is necessary. You can’t give them the choice. Either you take the resources that we’re going to give you, or you decide that you’ve got to be locked up in jail.”

To that, Kilmeade responded, “Or involuntary lethal injection or something — just kill ‘em.”
-----------------
Even Tucker Carlson spoke against this type of action: "Tucker Carlson is taking aim at the Trump administration and Israel, warning that officials are using the shocking murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk as an excuse to restrict constitutionally protected speech in the U.S."
-----------------
First amendment rights for me, but not for D's.

He still has his right to free speech, No One has silenced him! His employer has just decided he was done paying him.

Today "President Trump said federal regulators should revoke broadcast licenses over late-night hosts who speak negatively about him"

Let's call this what it plainly is .  It is Fascism and Trump is a wanna be Putin or Xi. Can anyone imagine Obama saying he wanted to revoke Fox's license for the non stop criticism they gave him.  Or Rush Limbaugh?

Trump does not care about the Constitution, first amendment, due process none of it.  He does not care about putting the military in the streets against it's own citizens.

Reagan would be cancelled today by the far right.  He represented almost nothing Trump represents.
