I didn't know Poulin personally but seeing him wandering around the Yonkers casino broke and asking for money was kind of satisfying.
why does that not shock me about him.

Why was it satisfying? You get off seeing a sickly poor victim suffer?

Sandy Goldfarb was ripped off by Poulin? Not likely.   Name one horse that Poulin injured or killed.

ask the Three Musketeers stable about nia fran (wrong pipe tubed)

And by the way, why is he hanging around begging for money? Why can’t he get a job? Because he never worked a day in his life.

It was more than abuse he was killing horses for insurance money.
Racing under the son’s name & a friend’s name at Shenandoah with the Warnick team so I’ve been told.

he was certainly was involved in the strange payoffs era at freehold

early to mid 90s--Poulin, Parker, Brennan, Morrill, King--all involved in short payoffs--like a $40 horse in the win pool but the exacta only comes back in the $30 range for $2

short trifectas also often

he should have plenty of money stashed away from those profits

I worked for Norman when he was breaking in Rene, and then the business corrupted him, sadly.
