Won the OSS Super Final last night (like he was supposed to) in a complete monsoon. It looked like everyone has having trouble getting a hold of the track. Anyway, 10 for 10, and the original plan was to go to the BC. Ian Moore is an excellent trainer. A real horseman. While each horse is different, once a 2yo hits 10 starts, stakes, open company, a few big miles, etc., I always start to think when/if a 2yo just might be getting a bit tired. Sometimes they don't show it over the last few races and they just show it in one race. This colt hasn't shown it, and he looks like he has great potential. I wonder if Moore is going to still go the the BC.

BTW, last I heard from the farm, his dam is back in foal to Cattlewash. I don't think she has a yearling this year, but she has a Bettors Delight foal (colt) this year.

Yes. He can follow his own advice instead of giving it and having the trainer do whatever they damn well please with it.

I know about his alleged issues. I also think it's an advantage - a perfectly legal one - to be a vet and a trainer.

Uses the same fuel in his horses that he uses in his airplane he flies

He looked sensational winning (as you said, in a monsoon!).  The horse also looks beautiful and is simply rigged and exceptionally calm and well-behaved after the race (not the signs of a horse that has been fueled up!).  I think he will go to the BC and face the Burke Brigade.  From two to three is an enormous opportunity for horses to change (physically and also in how they behave); if Beau Jangles keeps up with his peers in physical growth/development I think he can become an "inner circle" top pacer.

Chantilly, tonight, won, but did not look all that great racing.  It is clear that she has "on and off" weeks.  I hope she brings her "A" game to the BC, as I think when she is right, she is at the top of her class.  Might have a very powerful group of 4yo and up pacing mares next year.

If both are 100%, she is not Miki And Minnie. The qualifier did not make me think Miki And Minnie is back to 100%.

why wouldnt Beau Jangles race in the BC...its home turf and he already beat some of these Burke horses. Nothing to lose here

Ryder treats his horses with the utmost care. He kept Minnie out of Kentucky to rest and he has two weeks to get her right...he doesnt have to win the elim..he has to win the final. If Minnie is no good, Ryder wont race her in the BC

I agree, Chantilly didn’t look herself….but still won a $300k final.  Hopefully she gets back to 100% for the BC.
