Hambo Saturday
« on: August 02, 2025, 12:41:06 PM »
Didn’t see a good centralized spot to follow the day

Miki and Minnie wicked in the second and Yannick is 2 for 2 with going too much too soon and fading in the stretch

Cover flow has been really dull all day - no one able to close from the backfield at all even off stiff fractions

This whining about that Goop's driving on the one in Hambo is unmerited . No win spot.
Bad pick. Bad bet. Own it. 11.wp

100% spot on

From a fan's point of view the racing absolutely sucked today

Agree.  When I thought some horses would start making their move from the back, it looks like they were just spinning their wheels.

Racing was blah today - think a lot of that was due to the lack of action in the two wide.  Few power moves, re-takes, etc.  Seemed liked guys were fishing cover, they would get it and then the cover would fish cover instead of letting it happen - all the sudden they are 3rd or 4th over and the 1st over guy is still fishing cover.

More action last Saturday than today

The times were slower today as the track surface was not as bone dry as it is in humid weather but the weather could not have been any better.
